Supported by the Quality Education Fund, 'Teaching News Literacy and Critical Thinking in the Digital Age' is a textbook that introduces essential news literacy concepts, such as news values, identification of misinformation on social media, critical thinking in news and privacy protection. With a series of real-life examples and interactive exercises, this 10-chapter textbook brings the positive impact of news literacy training to secondary education, and helps teachers and students acquire the necessary skills to navigate and take control of the news they may come across in the complex news environment and digital landscape.

Along with the textbook, there is an interactive learning app available for free download.

幼兒全人發展:道德及情緒教育之綜合教學模式《幼兒道德及情緒教育教材套》

本中心獲優質教育基金撥款推行「幼兒全人發展──道德及情緒教育之綜合教學模式」計劃,旨在培育幼兒的道德及情緒發展,提升幼師應用綜合教學模式來實踐全人教育理念的能力,藉以促進幼兒的全面發展。《幼兒道德及情緒教育教材套》以「森林幼稚園」為學習背景及11個故事角色日常生活發生的事情為題材,共設計了90個教案 ,各級均有30個教案,當中包括了20個核心單元及10個自選單元。教材套除了利用故事、角色扮演或不同的集體遊戲去讓幼兒學習外,當中還包含了18個多媒體故事(分別是:幼班5個、低班6個及高班7個),教師及家長也可以分別利用電腦或行動裝置與幼兒一起在課堂或家裡閱讀,家長還可以利用多媒體故事後的問答環節,與子女在家進行討論,讓家長了解子女在校內所學,以加強家校合作。

校本探究式學與教:激發幼兒的學習潛能理論篇與實踐篇

探究式教學法常應用於科學學習領域,由教師引導學生透過觀察、提問、驗證來掌握新知識。香港浸會大學兒童發展研究中心獲優質教育基金撥款資助,與十一間幼稚園合作,進行《幼師培訓計劃:校本探究式學與教》。著重配合校本課程,計劃嘗試將探究式學與教融入語文、第二語言(英語)及早期數學三個學習範疇,並採用5E教學模式(參與、探討、解釋、延展及評估)引導學生有系統地學習。計劃成果編成《理論篇》和《實踐篇》兩書 ——《理論篇》闡述計劃理念以及報告所得的教學成效,而《實踐篇》則輯錄了教師與顧問導師共同設計的教學方案和他們的教學經驗,供教育同工作為參考。

Super Stories

This collection consisted of ten short stories written by ten young writers who have a great interest in expressing their thoughts through stories. They attended a 2-week creative writing workshop “Super Writer 2011” and wrote their stories in a very short period with impressive quality. This collection is definitely a fiction-reading attraction for storybook lovers; each story is truly touching. Readers will discover and be surprised by the writers’ passion in conveying their message which goes beyond time and culture. When reading the prefaces and reflections, readers can see the twists and turns in their thinking and writing process.

戲劇教育計劃資料冊

戲劇在校園那裡出現?其實戲劇除了以藝術教育的形式在正規課程中出現外,亦可以戲劇教學法的外衣在其他的主要學習領域中發揮其功能,例如:中文、英文教育、個人、社會及人文教育等,從而啟發學生的創意和想像力,增強學習動機。從1998年至2004年期間,優質教育基金共資助57個有關在中學、小學及學前教育中推行戲劇的計劃,並委託明日藝術教育機構及香港浸會大學兒童發展研究中心進行「戲劇教育計劃成效研究及推廣」,並印製《戲劇教育計劃資料冊》,內容除了包括戲劇教育計劃概覽、成效研究報告外,亦將各計劃中可行及有趣的戲劇教學活動編寫成「戲劇與教育實用參考指引」,以方便教師在編寫戲劇教學活動及各科教案時提供有效參考資料。

小學創意教育遞進發展模式計劃:理論與實踐
